just thought i'd write out some details about monday's upload!
there will be around 65 items in tomorrow's sale (maybe a few more if i can finish a few extra goodies tonight!). all are ready to ship and will mail out on thursday at the latest. (more sneak peeks here and some here)
~at 9pm EST I will upload two photo albums (one with 3m to 24m sized items and the other with 2T-4/5Tsized items) with pictures of every item.
~to claim an item, simply comment on the picture of the item you like with your paypal address. if you do not feel comfortable writing out your paypal address, you can claim the item with a comment that you will send me a message with your paypal address.
~if you like an item but it has already been claimed, feel free to comment if you are second in line--with "second"--if the first buyer does not pay the invoice, i will contact you! but please, if you comment to claim, please pay your invoice!! :)
~you will receive an invoice for your item(s) by Tuesday night. Please pay within 24 hours so that I can mail out your goodies as soon as possible!
~shipping is $3.50, $1 for each additional item.
~in the past i have taken custom orders for select items when i had
enough fabric to make more, but i cannot take on any orders this month
(husband's request!). that being said, if you are interested in a pair
of shorts and would like a coordinating tee or tank (with applique (name, initial, number
or image etc) or fabric flower) I can take orders for those (i know how
annoying it is to have a cute pair of pants or shorts and nothing to go
with it!!). tees and tanks to match the shorts will be $15 and will ship within ten days.
examples...
hope to see you all tomorrow!! thanks for being such amazing customers and friends! i love sewing for you all and and i hope that by taking a step back from custom items, i can hold ready to ship sales more often and with more goodies so that everyone who wants to can put a little chickadee chickadee on the little sweeties in their lives! :)

saturday sewing
if all goes well on saturdays and i have a little break in my sewing
schedule, i try to sew something for my kids in between orders. last weekend i had lots of fun making a few pairs of oliver + s shorts for the kiddos, so i thought i'd keep with tradition this month and sew another oliver + s shorts pattern
for the girls! not quite as easy a project, but i do love how they
turned out...not without mistakes (i always tend to fumble with new
patterns on the first go round!), but they'll get lots of wear this
summer. i love sewing dresses for the girls and fancier things, but it
is really fun to make clothes for them to run and play in too!
first pic and POUTing about it!
are we done now?
oh, wait...the shorts needed a little coordinate, so the tops were a little bonus project at the last minute.after church, we tested the shorts out on a run to the playground! (there's our jogging "bus"! clear the sidewalk if you see this thing coming!)
she wants to be a ballerina when she grows up. and an animal doctor too. |

the best day
to me, Easter is the biggest deal. just the biggest and the best day. Easter and all it holds in meaning for me makes it a most beautiful and glorious holiday.
add to it all the blissful blue skies and perfect weather that we usually see during springtime in atlanta, the family gatherings, the freshly pressed dresses, shiny new shoes, sweet pastels, and um amazing treats (peeps! cadbury mini eggs!)... and Easter is a favorite for sure.
i've never made the kids' Easter outfits before but once i saw this amazing pattern, it had Easter dresses written all over it for me, so i took the plunge and decided to sew their outfits this year. miss R has to have pink so i showed her this fabric and she loved it...miss m doesn't have much of a preference so she got the blue and mr. b., ... well, i know this is my only chance to put the boy in what i think is adorable baby boy duds...
the husband does not agree and little b almost went to church naked because daddy hated his outfit and was horrified by what i dressed him in! next year, maybe i'll find a good pattern for little b and include him in the Easter sewing... daddy approves of the mama-made overalls, so as soon as church was over and the egg hunt was finished, he promptly changed his little boy into his Easter basket gift! it took some convincing to get the girls to change out of their birdie dresses and into their Easter basket goodies, but they humored me even though there isn't more than a hint of pink in their outfits... major blunder there...should have known yellow would be a battle... i couldn't get miss R to stay in her new outfit, so she found a properly pink alternative for the park! at least i got a few pics first! :)
this is what i usually get at picture time..."she pinched me!" "she's picking her nose!" ... ...
